If there are two services related with digital photography that really cause a lot of enthusiasm, one is the photography social net
Flickr and another is
digital frames that are starting to occupy space in our living rooms.
Flickr2Frame is a simple application that automatically
downloads and
transfers the photographs from a
Flickr account to a digital frame to which we have associated it.
The program has been developed due to the need of the developer to show the updated photographs of his son to his parents, that had an Internet connection and a digital frame but the majority of the users had no computer knowledge.
By means of
Flickr2Frame all we have to do is upload the photographs to the associated
Flickr account and they will
automatically be downloaded and shown on the digital frame to which it is associated.
Thus we will be able to see the latest photographs
without having to visit our Flickr account, downloading them and transferring them
manually to the digital frame.
The program doesn't work with all digital frames. It comes with a small executable to perform a
compatibility test. And its configuration isn't exactly simple for an unexperienced user.
Once ready it becomes the
perfect combination between Flickr and our digital frame.
Requirements: To work properly this application requires the installation of .NET Framework 2.0 or above, a Flickr account and a digital frame connected via USB. It is also necessary to have an Internet connection.
